2005 Mazda 6 changes?

Are there any planned design changes or updates for the Mazda 6 in the 2005 model year?

Thanks,

John

Ignore the man behind the curtain!

Since the 5-door and station wagon have just appeared, I doubt anything in the next twelve months other than package rearrangements and perhaps color and fabric changes.

My guess (entirely personal) is the next major Mazda revamp will be the minivan.

Both of those cars are also in the Mazda 3/Protege size class. 275 HP in a Mazda 6 would compete with the sport editions of the Accord and Altima.

Thanks Joe & to the others that helped out. I am looking to get a new car around December. The Mazda 6 is at the top of my list. I think the current design showed up in 2003? I figure most of the quirks have been worked out by now & love the styling compared to most of the other typical mid-size competitors. (Camry, Accord, etc) I had a 2000 Miata sometime ago but was forced to get rid of it due to lack of space. Unfortunately these days I need something with a back seat for the family & friends.

Thanks again,

John
