Is white really the fastest color?

  1. White is the [ugly and cheap] color that racecar bodies come in before they are painted.

  1. Racers wouldn't do anything to their cars that makes them go slower.

  2. Virtually all racers paint their race cars an infinite variety of colors.

  1. Ipsi Dixie, all other colors are faster than white.

Yes they would. Even a real white paint would add weight. Racers are scientifically not very savvy, and mercenary. Whatever they think would bring in advertising dollars.

While the builders tend to be a little better, it is simply a fact that real race cars are not build to minimize drag; they are build to push the car to the ground. The builders simply compensate for the reduced road holding and increased drag caused by the paint jobs by throwing in a still bigger engine.

Virtually all racers lose. Only a few with the least-slowing-down paint job and the biggest engines make it to the top of the podium.
