Has anyone had luck mixing Miata touchup paint with something else, like car wax, and putting that over spots that need tweeking. Why? Puttting the touchup direct usually looks worse.

I use Turtle Wax Color Cure with chipstick, but I'm NOT very picky. If the car looks good from, say, 15 ft. away, I'm happy.
