Over time the problem has grown to the point the passenger side door comes open (un-latched) when driving. Now it takes more effort to use the key and lock the doors from the drivers side.
The door locks are controled by a vaccum circuit. Where to start and how to trouble shoot?

Open your door so that you can see behind the lip around the edge of the door. You should see two Phillips head screws one right above the other on the edge of the door very close to the door lock cylinder. Make sure these are good & tight before trying anything else. If they come loose even slightly, they'll produce *exactly* the same symptoms you described. While you're at it, check the passenger's side door, too.
