1992 mercedes 300e will not start in cold weather. Once weather warms up, it will start.

Sounds like me. Am hard to get going on a cold winter's morning.
(Not that that helps you in any way.) DAS
In the summer, when it does start, how well - or poorly - does the engine run during the first few minutes?
In cold weather - when it won't start - does the starter crank the engine or is there silence when you turn the key to START?
