Most expensive Mercedes

when the state takes your wealth and redistributes it for what it deems to be the common good that is socialism, whether you care to call it that is meaningless. as to level of sophistication, it is painfully obvious that you are an old ding bat who is a card or two short of a full deck

Hi Jan,

Income tax in Canada is not much less and we get MUCH less. If I make 50K CDN in one year I take home about 30, maybe more if if good accountant does income tax return :-)

That's relative.

Educated waiters, nice.

both lawyers and garbage guys could be called 'garbage removers', I don't know about you but I think garbage guys are more crucial to the wellbeing of society than lawyers :-) (no offense REInvestments!)

Yes, if only the average north american knew what "socialism" is.

Jan, the immigrants from the Middle East are a much greater danger to Europe in the long run in terms of demographics than either terrorism or welfare abuse. In Germany for example 5% or more of the population is Muslim, BUT >>20%

Already is a real city. One of the finest IMHO

Most Muslims in Britain are NOT from the Middle East.

As far as your extrapolations are concerned, I propose they are bunk, as migrant populations adopt the birthrate of their host countries fairly quickly, as their social mores adapt.

Furthermore, most of Germany's Muslims are not fom the Middle east either, unless you classify Turkey as such.

Many of France's Muslims are from North Africa, of course.

"Dori A Schmetterling" haute in die Tasten:

Having grown up in Lower Saxony, having relatives in the eastern sea region and having made my first holiday by car on my own (1980) in Denmark, I'd like to add that the swedish girls are by far more beautiful than the danes.

You know, I am not a Bavarian, I only happen to live there...

Interesting. It was at that time when I also went on my first trip to Denmark (when I lived in Hamburg). It was then that I had my W123 200D "Weizengelb"

So maybe I picked up some Danish genes (via the yeasts and hops of Tuborg and Carlsberg)...

Clearly some people think that the appearance of the Danes can be measured by the beauty of B&O hifi.

In terms of surrounding environment; the mountains and sea, for sure one of the finest. If it wasn't for the weather and the nature, I'd rather be in Winnipeg or a properly developed city like Calgary.

hello there mr/ms butterfly? not your real name i figure? but then I'm using only my initials myself

I believe I was talking about Muslims in general.

Here's what your country is facing, this is no crank:

"Asked about his comments that he wanted to have the banner of Islam at 10 Downing Street, Muhammad said, "Yes, it's my dream. I believe one day that is going to happen. Because this is my country, I like living here." "

From much reading that I've done and from friends living in Britain, I know that your country has a deluge of immigrants, recent and not, that are causing problems. Sure, some are fine like the Muslim family (that came from England) I sold my 300SD to, but from what I hear there are MANY problems, either you're ignoring them or are not affected by them. But then you're probably like a friend from Nottingham, who complains about all the neighbourhoods around Britain that he as a white man cannot enter yet defends English immigration policy. At least you don't complain.

I don't remember where I got my figures from but then I'm sure they're not hard to find. Ask the OECD. As for being bunk, do you have figures to prove I'm wrong or is it just that you don't like what I'm saying?

I propose the above is bunk. You got figures? How many migrants coming in? Either way, it's not like I care what happens in Britain, it's historical policies are coming back to haunt the country.

and your point? What did Izetbegovic say about Islam? All are ONE from Indonesia to Morocco? That is their mentality, same like Christians of course, nothing wrong with it but what their goals are for the western world. Though I support Muslim efforts in their own lands for independence from American and European colonialists.

For your info, it's "Mr".

1) There was talk of Muslim migrants from the Middle East, and I wanted to set the record straight.

2) Your citations are not helpful in that the same extremist leader is quoted. He is head of the Muhajiroun group, a nasty bunch under the surveillance of the police. I guessed this before following the links you gave. They are anti-Western democracy, anti-semitic and anti-everything-else. Mainstream Muslim leaders in Britain -- at least publicly -- dissociate themselves from this groups and condemn it. Look them up yourself:

Naturally you won't find their worst excesses on the website.

I don't know where their sheikh drives a Merc.

3) Don't have specific birthrate figures to hand but there have been plenty of examples of birth rates falling with rising properity and education. You may be interested to know this development was seen with the arrival of Israeli rule in the West Bank! Arab/Muslim birth rate may still be higher than the Jewish/Israeli one, but it was/is down from before. Similar applies to Arabs living in Israel.

4) Of course Islam (as Christianity) provides a common background for all the people who believe in it, but there is still considerable variation across the globe in people's behaviour and culture, despite Izetbegovic's pronouncements (such a great scholar and social commentator). In fact, I suggest that the Muslims of Bosnia have nothing in common with those of Afghanistan (from where 'freedom fighters in the struggle' were sent). Nor is the way Islam practised in Turkey the same as in Saudi Arabia or Malaysia. The Muhajiroun lot may well be largely from Bangladesh, but they are in no way representative of the people of Bangladesh.

I believe that the big problem we have (or had) in the UK is that we had no laws to arrest and deport terrorists from the UK. Arab countries could quite legitimately point to the UK government and accuse it of harbouring criminals. Indeed, some of these even obtained asylum in the UK, as they had not committed any crimes here. I think a new law changes this.

i should have been more clear as to what i meant

I stand corrected, i read the thing exposing Reuters, if it is true.

:-) gotta keep it relevant

I've snipped out the thing i stand corrected on :-)

Izetbegovic was great in the same sense that all other powerful criminals were great, I hope you're kidding when you call him great

I like the SLR mostly because of the way it looks. The amenities, performance, and lineage complete the package.

Marginal performance differences of competing vehicles are not important to me. I have no desire to race anybody, go around curves quickly or otherwise push the vehicle to its performance limits.

The car looks like a work of art.

I did not address the issue because it is tedious and recurring.

Can someone be adequately verbose?

I still want an SLR.

No, no different opinion, but then everybody has a variation on the definition of "great".

Anyways, nice "talking" to you! :-)
