new shocks w116 300sd

sounded so easy in the manual....looked it too,,,was useing a little

1/4?? rachet in the pics behind rotor,,,,l can do this[thought to self],,,,,,,,,, got top nut and locking nuts off after removeing rear seat, no problem, thought they looked a little corrided though, and even kept shaft from turning so it did?nt rocket off like the manual made it sound like it?d do. next,,,,,,,took it up on buddy?s lift and was ready to remove the lower bolts...... look like l better soak em first ,started on front wheels,,, soaked a couple of times before l got going,,,yeap you got it ,,,snaped first bolt off as l thought it was loose and started to twist it off,,, was so glad it was up in the air and took extra special time in getting the rest of the front ones off as it is a close quarters and was not into removeing the others the same way as the first one ........went to the rear bottom and figured it was going to get better,,,,,,,,wrong, long story short,,,all 4 in the back broke off after much to do to not let that happen, sorry for long post but imagine my shock and dismay,,,,,,,,,,,,took alot of heat and vise grips to remove broken studs,,,,,after new boge turbos were installed though it all was worth it,,,,,, rides smooth as silk now 1980 300sd 284,000 bcurtis 300sd 1980 284,000 ml 300sd 1980 142,000 ml
