300SD: starter bolt size?

I have a 1985 300 SD, the starter is hung/seized up. There are two hex head bolts on the rear of the starter that have to come out. I could find only metric allen drivers to 10 MM (a set) at Autozone and Sears, but it's bigger than that. It seems to be 3/8 in. more or less, but I am pretty sure all bolts are metric size. Does anyone know exactly what size allen driver is needed? As it is, I would just have to get a set of drivers somewhat larger than 10mm, if I could even find a set of larger sizes. I think I know of a specialty tool store that would have exactly the right individual metric driver, If I knew which I needed. Thanks!

10 mm is just very slightly BIGGER than 3/8"

3/8" is actually 9.525 mm

Are you sure the 10mm won't do it?

According to this website which is the first I googled, the proper tool is an "HZ 2775 HAZET special swivel socket, 1/2" drive 10mm hex bit. For mounting and dismounting the starter."

However, I don't know if this applies to 300SD starters or not.

Some Sears have bigger one... check them online to see whixh one has it. Otherwise, online is the easiest source to get them.
