Tried eBay, but I seem to be to cheap when it comes to used 'unknown operational state' stuff. Can they be had rebuilt for less than $200 anywhere? Anyone know of any working used ones?

What part do you want?? The pushbutton assembly? The temperature control unit? The blower control unit?
