75 mgb

I think I need help. I have gotten in over my head.

Having never rebuilt a motor before, I would like some advice.

Project: Garage kept 1975 MGB that has not been on the road in 9 years and at that time it was driven 4 miles. Before that it sat for 5 years. I bought this car 9 years ago. It has a knock that goes away after oil pressure comes up to pressure. So far I have advice from a friend to change the oil. I have removed and replaced motors before. That is pretty easy.

Recently I have been restoring the wheels and adding new tires.

My plans are to install new break pads and wheel break cylinders, pull the motor and go thru it? I hope to have this car on the road in 2 months.

I need to find someone that knows a great deal about the MGB and is willing to answer questions via Email. Sometimes the questions will seem silly. Others I am sure will be kind of technical. I am also sure that where to buy parts will be one question that comes up over and over. Another will be what and how to measure what needs to be measured. Tricks that are learnt only by experience would be the best thing I could get from you. The best way or the easiest way could be one in the same but not always. Your experience will be the difference for me. Thank you in advance.
