4G15P & 6G72 engines' gaskets / lack of which, is stupid

My Proton Saga's 4G15P engine's distributor cap did not have a gasket, dust got in & blocked electrons' flow from cap's centre pin to rotor. I had to make this gasket myself. Neither does a 6G72 engine's distributor have a gasket, same consequence.

4G15P's petrol pump ( mechanical, fitted to engine ) has no rubber / cork gasket, has just fibreglass gaskets ( too hard, & can disintegrate when soaked in mineral oil ) which cannot seal in the engine's oil. I had to find a rubber skin & cut a gasket myself to stop oil leaking out & onto the floor below. Their designers should be sacked.

Is this not the same guy from Malaysia / Singapore who was ranting about something else last year?

| What model year are these motors from? Mechanical fuel pumps and | distributors? Engines are not ( electric ) motors.

4G15P - 1990 6G72 - 1994

Too bad for you that you live in some third world shithole and Mitsu feels fit to dump retro-grade products on your market. Brilliant though, on Mitsubishi's part to fabricate vehicles from bins of antiquated service and repair parts that they had in excess inventory. Mechanical fuel pumps went out in the '80's! We all have wonderful Denso made pumps that quite frankly, do not fail. Why can't all Malaysians be as intellegent as Ming from TRE?

Whaaah, a gasket failed in my 15 year old vehicle.... Try this site, perhaps you'll fit in better there:

Too bad you live in a third world shithole and that Mitsu feel fit to dump retro-grade vehicles on your market built from antiquated service parts. Brilliant on their part I must say. So get yourself a couple of O-rings and a tube of silicone sealant and replace your damn 15 year old gasket and then f*ck off.

A gasket failed after 15 years and you are complaining? What do you expect, no mechanical issues whatsover, for ever? Failures happen, to ALL makes. Get a life TE Cheah.
