engine whines

I have a '97 Eclipse GS, 100,000 miles. It has been a good car with no major problems.Timing belt has been replaced. But now the engine whine when I accelerate, any ideas?

Engine whining ,? Could well be a too tight timing belt . They will wine if adjusted to tightly.
