Releasing timing chain tensioner - Mitsubishi Magna 2.6 Litre 87

Hello,

Anyone know how to release the timing chain tensioner on a Magna engine? Have just replaced the head gasket, but can't but the chain back on as the tensioner is fully out,.,

Thanks

I just got off the phone with a mechanic, he says that my Magna has a tensioner, but that it has no ratchet system to hold it out. So im thinking its come all the way out or something and needs to be somehow jiggled back in. Im gonna try first thing tomorrow.
