HELP!! STARTING TROUBLE 02 LANCER

Jan 18, 2007 2 Replies

The car cranks but will just not turn over. Test battery still good. Down to one of two things, fuel problem or factory alarm. Does anyone know how to reset the alarm, I do not think that it tripped but if so I will need to reset it. 2002 Lancer OZ Zalley with factory keyless entry. I am not sure if it has a built in kill switch because there is no security indicator on the dash? Anyone ran into to problem with this? Or have any ideas? THANK YOU!!

Update, after spending the weekend running checks here is what I have come up with. One coil pack is not firing. Code reader shows faulty Cam Position sensor. Replaced the sensor and the coil pack is still not firing. I have tested the coil packs they are both good. The only conclusion I can draw is a bad ECU. The signal wire between the coil pack and the ECU is good, it is just not sending the signal to fire. Has anyone ran into anything like this before. I am not wanting to replace the ECU but not sure where else to go!! Thanks
