Blimey. I really don't see the appeal of engines like that.
Well, I tell a lie. I do. Not for everyday driving, but high-revving petrols can be a real hoot, like in the Metro GTi I once drove (ok, hardly a VTEC, but still, a brilliantly fun car to drive). I do quite like the whole lower down torque TDI thing as well though.

Hah! A jumped up VW? Yup, it shares some parts but I still wouldn't want to be on the end of a 911 servicing bill. I'm having enough trouble sourcing parts for my 924 without spending an arm and a leg, and if ANY model of Porsche is little more than a jumped-up VW, it's that, not the 911. It seems like all the expensive non-VW bits go wrong...

As for the 924.... Eurospares and GSF seem to ccarry most stuff.

They only make sense in something like an Elise - which is the only sensible place you can find the 189 VVTI funnily enough :)

Yeah, they carry a lot of stuff - but at the moment, nothing I need! Carl got me a good link in the States.. still the cheapest option regardless of shipping, but it's a bit of a wait. My Mazda RX-7 was always cheaper on parts from the States than buying from anywhere over here. Bloody annoying!
