my mates MR2 Turbo did 80k odd on the original clutch running near twice standard power!

Your point is?

I've had a car that's done 160k miles on the original clutch, but I've also had one that needed a replacement before 60k miles was up.

Clutch life very much depends on how s**te previous owners were with their clutch control.

point is most cars would slip let alone wear out pretty quick when the power is doubled on the clutch i'd of thought!
