can't find a E36 in flat black or satin black but with my BM's light interior i think it would look pretty cool!

A proper Satin black paint job needs very deep dish wheels, coilovers or airbags, and pimp tints to work.

All you badges would need to be painted with a black smoke laquer to give a black crome effect too.

i think you can get away without having the window tints but it would need to be pretty low i think, as for the wheels i was thinking my current wheels also painted the same satin black. might crack out photoshop later see if i can mock up a pic. doubt i'll do it though i mean the paint job along is gonna be a few undred quid, maybe £1k for a decent job or more!

There's a satin black E34 kicking around these parts.

It looks pikey as f*ok.

You really don't want to contemplate how long you'll spend washing it to keep it looking nice, either.

Yeah, it's OK on an old beat up MK2 Essie or similar if you're going for a rat look but not something like a Beemer.

Satin does't work on rats, it needs to be chalkboard black for that. Proper paint satinised or used with a satin laquer and applied right looks the nuts.
