I'm pretty much being forced (divorce) to sell my Ghia that I've hung onto for years--it was my baby--but haven't done much with in a long time. I was wondering roughly how much I can get for it. If anyone could give me a rough valuation, that would be wonderful.
The details: -'68 or '69 coupe (manufactured in '68 according to number under rear seat but probably a '69 model) -I still need to find the title but it should be around here somewhere -rebuilt engine w/ less than 1000 miles on it -new dual carbs -1500cc engine upgraded to 1600cc, IIRC -has not been running since around '92 but has been turned over by hand on occasion -there had been some problem with the electrical system -body is rusty but solid structurally -the worst rust is around the headlights and the panels under the doors -floor pans were replaced but not with original parts, has galvanized sheet metal riveted in -don't think it's been in any major accidents but -rear panel was scrape-dented, was pulled out, but drilled holes left uncovered -4/5 screw holes (filled with screws still) on four corners of the roof -was originally blue, I think, but had been painted by a homemade orange metalflake -fake black bra and stripes painted on sides so that I could work on the body rust and repaint it without it looking too awful -also has some rust/acid holes around the battery compartment -has been garage kept since '97, was covered before that -one or more brakes are now locked up -foggy windshield had been replaced (but might have been a used replacement, I can't remember) -has all lights -seats in decent shape but, IIRC, are from a year newer -has front dash, but cracked -non-original steering wheel (small racing-like wheel) -ceiling there but a bit saggy and a bit ripped -Michelin tires but they're probably not in good shape any longer because it's been sitting so long, especially since one of them is flat -have a lot of the parts that aren't installed (grills, most if not all logos, etc.) -I've owned it since '81 -bought it in FL but I think it had come from MI previously (hence the rust underneath) -in Boston area now
That's all I can think of at the moment. Thoughts?
Thanks, _Rich_
