Which is the brake fluid that is better than the normal stuff, but can go in the normal system without any changes? Is that Dot 5.1?
Cheers :-)

Yep
Dot 5.1 has a higher boiling point yea? So if one was upgrading discs/pads and considering fast road / track use (not the 206 heh) 5.1 fluid would be the way forward?
Indeedy. The boy is learning :)
What DOT is the normal stuff they put in by the way?
From memory - DOT 4.1
David
Nah, just dot 4. Never heard of a dot 4.1
Boils at 40 degrees C lower than DOT 5.1 apparently:
But you can get high temperature DOT 4 fluids...
cheers, clive
Indeed, motul RBF600 is "only" DOT4 as it's low temperature pourring point is too high for DOT5.1 spec, however its boiling point is higher than most DOT5.1 fluids.
