Dear god that's fast.

Option 3, save the weight, get out and push.

IIRC it won't pass SVA without a reverse

Not sure about other versions but they won't in a Westfield. However the new Hayabusa engine is supposed to be an straight 6 so that might fit.

Better with one of these,

Most don't bother with a reverse, and amazingly (after all the stuff they do bother about) Mr SVA doesn't care !

Really !?! Now that will be an interesting engine :)

Sounds like fun.

Wouldn't the former option be best - less stuff to fit, less to go wrong, etc?

Dribble, always wanted a CBX1000 :)

It depends on the way the car is being setup, the starter option is normally only used in mid engined setups where it's chain driven.

cool twitchy as f*ck death machine! i want one hehe

the bosses westfield has an electric reverse but he just gets out and pushes it as it's actually quicker to do that than sit there at snail pace waiting hehe

Think 7's are ballistic?

SteA's report on a ride in a car pushing 2.2bar with 450bhp @ wheels in fifth, around 470bhp @ wheels in 4th.

Had a ride in Brens S13 on track this weekend Looking at the power figures you think, mmm could be fairly nippy

Doesn't really tell the story to be honest

On track?

F*ck Arrrgh Call NASA now, we are about to break away from earths gravitational pull

It really isn't the straight line speed. Its the speed it carries through and out of corners. I was hoping there would be nothing too fast in front of bren to chase. Ha ha, s*it out of luck Mr A. Enter stage left one arial atom. 320 bhp of blown honda type R engine. 480 kg of trackcar and one experienced driver.

Bren pretty much pushed it around for the entire session, only losing ground slightly on some of the straights

I'm never scared driving, but quite often as a passenger I get nervous on roads, not usually tracks. This time I really wasn't sure whether to cry, laugh manically or die, never been quite so excited or scared. Not because of the driving, rather I couldn't believe where the limits of the car were. I really was looking at the roll cage with a combination of gratitude and suspicion

Why thank you sir. I have been working very hard at doing this for as little as possible. I reckon I 'need' to spend around a grand all in. If it's not all complete and running for £1500 max, I'll be very very annoyed.

I have to laugh at some of the budgets I see over on 'that other place' - they aren't trying hard enough :-)))

Be rather amusing to take any of you lot round a track on a mid range motorcycle..........................lol

k

I agree.

Given the kinds of cars a lot of people in here drive, it would be very amusing to see you fall flat on your arse trying to keep up.

Ken, you appear to be the sort of biker who has never owned a motorbike?..........!lol

Didn't the Sierra use a 1.3 pinto?

Not that many 1.3 Sierra were sold of course! :)

What spammed up old Saabs and Volvo's with big bore exhausts?................Dont make me laugh, any mid range 600 would eat any of the cars on here for breakfast!

k

Not only have I owned many bikes, but I can also ride well enough to leave any of the regular posters on here, for dead in any heads up on a race track.
