Looks like he has his mate bidding on it. Why would someone bid £501 at
1-04pm on 24-MAR-06, then bid £754 at 10-21am the next day, then £850 a minute later, then £1 more than a genuine bid. It will be interesting to see how long he leaves it until pushing the bids up a bit more. Probably 10am tomorrow! Keep watching.- Vote on answer

Don't see anything suspicious, he's bid on other Sierra Cosworth and V8 parts from other sellers. Placed a low bid originally to note interest and to ensure eBay informs him of higher bids. £1001 is a sensible bid to put in assuming you think the previous bidder would have entered a round number. He's not going to win it for anywhere near that price anyway, I'd expect the auction will be removed if the bidding isn't well over £10K with a day to go.
