The difference be'ing in the RH driveshaft which is made of two parts differing from the more common versions that have only one part on the RH side too.My current situation is that I have a Mk1 with a CVH engine, and I'm using the original 1.1 driveshafts. Now I've got a hold of driveshafts from a Mk2 1.4 CVH, and I'd like to update the shafts in the Mk1. The question follows.
Are the significant differences in the lenght of Mk1/Mk2 stronger (?) driveshafts? Afaik the width of the cars doesn't differ almost at all (or..?) but how about the position of the engine? Does it make difference?
