I'm back

Hey peeps, just returned from a 1800 mile round trip to France. And guess what... the

205 made it all the way there and back without a single problem. Surprised? I almost passed out when we got back today!!!

And french roads are great - no speed cameras, no traffic police, no worries!!! And the country lanes are fantastic fun and even very nice to look at.

And another thing - for those who have noticed - arent all french peoples' cars dull? I mean, they're alright cars (mostly PSA and renault!!!) but absolutely nothing inspiring - all middle of the range cooking models (a lot of diesels). I dont think they even know the meaning of RWD - thres absolutely no sports cars out there at all. I was travelling with a Lotus Elise and everywhere we went people would stop and stare, point, wave, smile, flash their lights etc. Totally crazy!

Anyway, not really much point to this post, but thought i'd make all you working types jealous :)

Time to sort out all the alcyhol now bye bye

Why? Didn't you eat/sleep/drink in any of those 1800 miles? (c:

I love Paris parking though - reverse into space until you hit the car behind, then pull forward!

What did it set you back? I quite fancy going to France or somewhere, but the cheapest ferry crossing I could find for £140.

A mate is a member of the CSMA, so we got cheap ferry crossings. Had to go Dover - Calais, but it only cost £100 per car, we got a free bottle of champagne and 30 euros of free fuel. The house then cost £600 i think, which was then split between 12 of us. All in it cost about £250 including everything (petrol, tolls, food drink, going out etc etc)
