Scary Experience in an Audi Dealership

I had a very scary experience in our local Audi dealership yesterday. I was following a friend take her Audi to her dealership, to give her a run back to the office, and since she was taking an age, I drove the lad into their customer car park and went inside to look at the A2 TDI and laugh at the TT Roadster there. Anyway, whilst I was in there in a quandary about how ugly, exactly, the TT roadster was, I heard one of the salesmen say, "look, here's Kermit, what's he doing here?"

Now I'm not always the nicest about VAG products or dealerships, so I ducked out of sight . . . behind the TT (which is quite difficult when you're my size, and it's that size) . . .

And he was playing with a customers toy puppet!

Phew!

went to laugh at a TT and you own a Ka ? hmm....

Is it Groundhog Day already? ;-)

My thoughts exactly.

Both are just as ugly as each other .

In design terms the french whup everybodys ass and have done for several years .

(no - I dont own a french car)

.. apart from the current Renault Megane and most of the Citreon range ;)

ROFL thats the funniest thing I've heard for a while....

Germany designs the best looking car's, they make the best cars, and there quality is far supieror to anything else on the road.

now that *is* funny

Citreon Berlingo ? Megane ? Espace ?

IMHO they only good thing about french cars is that they aren't a fiat.

Likewise.

*cough* 7 series? A2? C Coupe?

period?

*anything*? Jaguar XJ? RR?

Who /cares/ if it's a man's or woman's car??? IMHO, it's a vastly overrated design - not nearly as brave as was first made out.

For genuinely /brave/ design, I think the French really take some beating - they're generally /not/ afraid of being different.

Oh, and, FWIW, the TT won't be a man's car till they make an RS - maybe Abt could help out ;-)

Doo doo

Ron

Doo doo

Ron Ron ;-)

I'd say the 406 Coupe is a damn good thing about french cars

One just costs a hell of a lot more than t'other.

Both are rancid designs, that 1.4 litre TDI VAG engine needs a better home than any of the current products with it.

Better cars usually do.

Note the disclaimer of the "usually."

A part of me agrees, but then it depends on what your definition of "better" is, though.

Neither is any quicker than the other around York's inner ring road.

The TT's supposed handling and grip advantage cannot be exploited on the outer ring road.

The TT costs over three times as much to buy, is thirstier, costs a lot more to insure and service.

Better?

a ferrari with an empty tank is still faster than a fiesta with a full tank is more accurate IMHO.

but the Ferrari with an empty fuel tank LOOKS faster than the fiesta :)
