And sillier than ever.

So there it is, needs a few small jobs, a weeks work maybe, but it's solid and amazingly rust free for something built in 1956.

Range Rovers just don't cut it any more when one is on a ram raiding mission. ;-)

What does anyone do with a big, air cooled V8 4x4 ex-military lorry?

The plan is to leave it in Czech until next spring, but spend a few weekends getting it hunky dory. Then toddle off to Scandinavia for a week or so, and then ferry it back to Newcastle from Sweden.

It's ideal for annoying the local Land Rover Society - "We don't care what you've got as long as you've got a Land Rover", so I think the next off-road day for me might be amusing.

Barking. Paint it pink Pete just to really piss them off.

Only the thick cheapskates would - wouldn't exactly take the police long to track them down, given all they'd have to do is follow the scent of stale cod and chips (1).

(1) Or deep fried Mars bars, if north of the border.

I was in Mlada for a couple of hours, but I was too bladdered to see much.

Trip was Prague, Císarská Kuchyne to see the lovely Lucie, then to Liberec for a gig, then Mnisek for a few days then back home.

Seriously, meet him, I reckon you two might be able to do a little=20 business, he only gets to brings parts over a couple of times a year.=20 I'm sure you could arrange some ferrying services for him, even if it=20 just gets him helping you find the best vehicles to bring back.
