The looks are starting to grow on me, at least, in R27 spec they are heh. Test drove one the other day and was quite impressed, Renault build quality has come a LONG way in the last few years - it all felt very solid and didn't rattle or anything daft (said car had 8k on the clock). The engine was nice enough, revved very freely although as you'd expect from an NA 2.0
16v with 197bhp it lacked torque. Grip levels were impressive and the brakes were stonkingly good. Best part was the seats, even my back managed to get comfy (full on Recaro jobs). In summary, if I needed something more sensible and less painful on the wallet to run than the Vee i'd consider one. I'd choose it over the VXR Corsa for sure (the Corsa's looks don't appeal to me, although i admit I haven't driven one).
That's all :-)
