My life is officially over (and a mini-review, I guess)

I've just bought one of these in black:

And yes, there is a fair bit of plastic but it's not awful. 'Wipe clean' as someone said lol. Mine doesn't have that grey gear knob and steering wheel, they're black and chrome.

But we do need the extra row of seats now, and the Galaxy/S-Max didn't have quite as much boot space with the rear row up, which they will be all the time.

It drives like a an estate car. Fifth Gear reckon it lacks overtaking punch. I didn't think it felt much different to the Vectra. Maybe it'll be held back when fully loaded but it's not meant to be an Evo...

The engine is a 2.0TDi VAG unit.

It's on 18's lol and the DVD player should keep the kids quiet on a long run. MP3 head unit but no way to plug an iPod in unfortunately. It's also got the 10 disc autochanger, dunno whether you can load it with mp3 discs; not too bothered but it would be nice if you could.

No handsfree kit, need to get something sorted there...

Flame away ;)

Abo gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

Mitsu are buying in VAG diesels for the sprogbus, whilst partnering up with PSA to get diesels for the Outlandish?

One day, I'll understand the motor industry. Probably.

There's an amusingly pertinent link from Abo's page -

I thought my next door neighbour's Mitsupishi Outrrgtbfzcvb had a VAG engine ? It certainly sound like one.

The old one might've. I dunno. The current Outlandish uses the PSA

2.2HDi. It's also available with a mild facelift and Citroen badges as the C-Crosser and Pug badges as the 4007.

What the f*ck is that, and how on earth can they think it's fit to carry the DS name!? It's a boring looking Eurobox FFS. I read about the new DS last week, and expected to see some weird looking C6 size thing with 100s of toys. Not a BMW Mini-alike :-(

There was a 2CV replacement idea pictured a couple of years ago. At least it looked vaguely like a 2CV..

Mike P gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

They're going to be using the "DS" badge for their "premium" models in three size ranges - like they use "C" for the mainstream and add "Picasso" for the sprogbuses.

So, DS3 - DS4 - DS5 are coming. But in the meantime, we've got to put up with the DS Inside . The BMW Mini, a decade late.

I feel I have to point out, two cars ago you bought a Zafira - your life has been over for a while. I know it was the GSi, but, it's still a Zafira :-p

The funny thing in the link, well, it's a bit of an "aesthetically challenged", diesel people carrier so it's fair to say it's not my first choice hehe but needs must eh! So, good luck with it, hope it doesn't give you shit and if it does, demand an Evo courtesy car - preferably an IIX or IX :-)

Bah, it had 200 brake. Technically, two cars ago was the Megane 225 :-P even though I didn't have it that long lol

Heh it is a bit wierd looking in the pictures, especially that middle one. It looks better in the flesh (or maybe I'm just mental when it comes to car design, I've had *two* Nova SR's...), I'll try and get a better pic and post it on Wednesday when I get it, not that you guys will be interested in a sprogbus ;) Guess it's my own fault for having so many kids...

Funny thing is, the first Mitsubishi dealer we went to was a Ralliart specialist. The demonstrator Grandis they had someone had left the light on and the battery was flat, so they jumped it off with the car sat next to it, which was an FQ-300. I was promised a nice long go of the Evo if I bought the Grandis from them lol. It would have been the world's most expensive test drive though, the Grandis from them was way overpriced...

Ah some good news, so it's good for the fun side of 300bhp.
