On the upside, it's a Mk3 Golf, so handling won't be worsened :-)

Let's face it, at the end of the day, it's still a devastatingly quick cross-country weapon.

A devastatingly quick cross-country weapon with an excellently damped and slightly soft-touch set of "Oh Jesus" handles.

It seems such a shame that someone has damaged a prestige car in such a fashion....

It's a sad reflection on today's society that Supermarket car parks'll do that to a car.

I didn't... my mates brother bought it off me in October, and last night decided to do a u-turn somewhere a bit dodgy.

I've lent him something else s**te (but in the basic shape it left the factory in) for now.

I know someone with a tractor and some rather strong looking chains. :- D

I've also got a Vento TDI with a blown engine.

Shame it's not a Golf, else I'd not think twice about sinking the mechanicals into that.
