Just filling out the survey they seem keen on the idea of handing out points for qualifying performance. Not something I think is a good idea. Especially with the single lap qualifying farce. (I'd like to see keeping the combined times from 2 sessions but make them 30min free for all sessions like the old 60 min one, that way you don't have nothing in the first 30 min with everyone waiting for the track to rubber in.)
Yeah, I saw that - what a stupid idea.
The LAST thing they need to be doing is moving even more action out of the race ! We want to see racing between the cars, not against the clock ! I do favour the current system of having to use the standard race engines and tyres etc. for qualifying - the old setup with the one-offs always seemed a bit silly. If you're qualifying for a race, without using the things you'll use in the race, then what's the point :)
