We've been using NTL for two years but we've recently told them that we didn't get the free speed upgrade, now we're up from the original 150 kbs narrow band, through the 300 kbs midband and on to proper 1000 kbs broadband...

Oooh Usenet downloads quickly now!

wow what next! the Derv gets a proper car? :)

feel for you mate, mate of mine still has dial up and it's so painful to surf the web compared to my 1mb connection :)

We've just had an inside lav installed!

Why bother when somebody will find fault with whatever it'll be - better stick with what we have. :)

300 kbs wasn't slow though, the only difference is that Usenet's quicker.

Ours is in an outhouse barely bolted on to the main house.

1Mb? broadband ? That's the modern equivalent of 14.4k nowadays! :)

I'm on 10 meg from Blueyonder, you can download a full DVD (4.7 Gigabytes) in 1 hour :-)

We got the free speed upgrade before they told us it was happening....

Fair enough. I'm getting well up there with the times. About 6-7 months ago I finally got a Fastext TV, and I'm now thinking about getting one of those DVD player things.

We *should* have gotten the upgrade too...
