How come, the Mk4 Ibiza 1.8T FR (150bhp) remaps to 10 more bhp than the Mk4 Ibiza Cupra 1.8T (180bhp)?
It really shouldn't, IIRC the cupra has a better intercooler setup and I think they run the same KKK turbo as well.
Custom-code lists a Phase one Remap:
FR 190-200bhp Cupra 205-210
Phase 2
FR 200-220 Cupra 210-235
There lower end of the figures tend to be quite close to what you get from there remaps from personal experience.
(Now I'm looking at that site again (the did my S3 engine as well as the TDI) the more I think a 1.4Tdi in my mk2 polo would be a good transplant.)
Hmmm interesting :) Went out in a BAS remapped Ibiza Cupra TDi 160 - it went well - 203bhp or something.
I wish I had the money for one but I tend to spend it on other projects, that said I have trouble putting the power down in my FR with only 160bhp at the wheels thanks to the way the torque comes in huge lumps, you just have to be sensible in the first few gears.
