I do like the old mantas. I don't like the fitment of an Ecotec piece of s*it though. It really spoils the theme of the older mantas. I know you can fit Rover V8s and even M20 BMW 2.8s in these but the best one of these I've seen had a Senator 3L lump/drivetrain. And best of all it was in he original blaze orange. Now that's real 70s for you.

Well, some dutch tuning house produced a 2.8l version back in the 70s. Needed a big hump in the bonnet though to clear the engine.
I quite like the one in the ad but it'd need too many changes for my liking (wheels more in tune with the age of the car, removal of the blue windows tint etc).
Accompanied by the sound of a chisel on slate Vamp, managed to produce the following words of wisdom

Needs a Rover V8 (Ecotec? Bleurghh! The Senator lump is too heavy, IMO) and a set of big Minilites.
