Definately no cable in the ville either. I'm in hospital at the moment on my new T-Mob mobile UMTS connection/data card thing, connected at 1.4mb. Nice. I did one of those connection speed tests on bandwidthplace.com as well just to make sure. Mobile internet rocks.

How long you in for this time?
£29/month unlimited use (well, they have a fair useage policy of 3gb or summet) and the card was free.
Not sure how long in total, this stint is just 3 days.
That's a fair bit less than I'd have thought. May have to look into this whole 3G malarkey a bit more.

If you're not using it every day and aren't going to cane it for mega download sessions, get a T-Mobile PAYG SIM card. All data, be it GPRS or
3G is capped at a max. of £1 / day regardless of useage.(They say it's only for use on mobile phones, but given that they sell MDA type things, I find it hard to believe they can tell if you're using a phone or using your phone as a modem, IYSWIM)
Buy a 3G card from eBay and stick the PAYG SIM into that... Surely it's not that simple; are you restriced to their walled garden or sommat?
No. They do block some ports - to prevent you from running mail / web servers over their connection and also block VOIP. Other than that, you just need either a PCMCIA mobile data card, or a mobile phone with bluetooth that can act as your modem.
Not tried the T-mobile offering, but I've been using the Orange unlimited GPRS for a quid a day for a couple of years now.
Bollocks, I sold a 'spare' Orange 3G data card earlier in the year :(
Yebbut I'd not put up with NTL if you paid me, and sorted me out with an all expenses paid weekend with that Keeley from Bromley each and every weekend.
