Swift is no more :(

Got T-boned at a crossroads yesterday. Car that hit me didn't even slowdown at the give way (I had right of way). I saw it out of the cornerof my eye and then WHAM! I was spinning down the road and ended upsmashing sideways into the back of an 06 plate Fiesta (the guy only hadit 2 weeks).Put my head through the door window, cuts and bruises and a very sorepair of shoulders and neck. Oh and the Swift is a write off.But I walked away and the hospital gave me a clean bill of health apartfrom the whiplash.The driver of the car that hit me tried to flee the scene but a guy ina van and some other witnesses chased him down and cornered him. See,Doki, community spiritedness rocks.That Swift was bloody amazing, I'm so sad to lose it. The engine isamazing, the handling is superb, like the original Mini.But I'm very glad that I'm OK and I was very lucky as the drivers doorwas totally mullered, destoying part of the dash - and that was fromthe relatively slow impact of hitting the Fiesta. If the car thatT-boned me had hit there, I might be typing this one-handed, or not atall.

Swift is no more :(

I've had a neck injury from whiplash and quite a few from Jiu Jitsu. Last one was about 4 months ago and I couldn't move my neck for 4 weeks. Neck injuries are no joke and old injuries can come back to haunt you. When my chiro was my neck x-rays about 3 years ago he freaked. And that was from a car accident 16 years earlier.

Thsnkd David please let me know who the good lawyer is, I've not found one yet. Looks as though I'm going to have to cough up for the recovery and storage of the Swift so I want one now!

Doc said something like "85% mobility after healing. Well within normal tolerances" somewhere in the report to the insurance. So she didn't get anything extra for the permant part of the immobility.
