All good stuff really.

Interesting... didn't know you could do that, and I wouldn't mind the steering on mine not being *quite* so quick.

Warped discs? Seldom happens on road cars, and if braking performance isn't impaired who cares?!
"Tim S Kemp" gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:
Bollocks.
If you can't feel it when you brake, then it doesn't matter. However, the front (pattern) disks on the Saab are badly warped at the mo - braking from mph causes a serious shakeback through the steering. It might be exacerbated by worn bushes, yes. But I'll lay odds that when I finally get round to lobbing some new disks on it'll go away. Just as it wasn't there before I put these ones on - they warped within a month or two.
The XM was particularly prone to warping the front disks, too - front- wheel handbrake, so if you parked up when the disks were hot, they effectively had a big heatsink clamped to 'em. Since they only lasted roughly two sets of pads before being worn, it wasn't the end of the world - they didn't warp as badly as these ones - but they were certainly feelable.
Hehehe, he's a erm... teacher.
