Is it me, or have they suddenly started getting birds to stand behind the presenters when they're talking? And was the one on the right at the beginning when Jeremy Clarkson starts talking about fast cars always a bird?
I've noticed that getting more and more blatant with each series. When I was in the studio audience a good few years ago (I was in on the one when Sir Ranulph Feinnes was in the Liana) there were a few instances of the prettier girls being marshalled to be in shot behind the presenters.
Back then it hadn't quite shaken off its boot and leg space image and "drive safely" as opposed to "and on that bombshell" was what everyone expected from the final words uttered before the credits so there weren't many examples of pretty girls in the audience - mainly rally geeks turning up in their Imprezas (matching jackets) and a horde of asian rudeboys in Ferrari shirts who turned up in a burgundy Accord. I can imagine that it attracts a lot more of the pretty girls these days and Hammond is in every ridiculous glossy gossip mag now. Most pretty girls I talk to love Top Gear!
One of the stipulations of entry was that for every bloke ticketholder there had to be a woman ticketholder. The girl I took got all made up and had her hair done for the occasion bless her!

Have you noticed how more blatant they are about him being gay now? Even down to him wearing a pride sticker on his helmet in the 24 hour race last season.
