Vacuum servo on turbo engine

But that's just one make... What about the rest?

I don't know, and I don't care :)

I suspect my FWD, front-founted 3.0 V6 car has about the least-perfect weight distribution around :)

You'll be needing that handbrake then :)

Some makes put the handbrake on the front discs. PSA group had problems with them relaxing as the disc cooled and the cars rolling away. Do some makes still use front wheel hand brakes or has everyone gone back to rear wheel handbrakes?

I know all about them, I used to have the '84 Saab 900 Turbo remember. They had notorious handbrakes for going out of adjustment, always one side or the other but never both. Thank god for the reverse gear lock that you needed to engage before taking the key out.
