what would you do with 35k?

we have a Volvo XC 90 at work (f*ck knows why on a vauxhall frontline) but i noticed today it had been marked up at £35k! seems a lot for a volvo 4x4. anyway was talking to my boss bout it and thinking what would i and you guys have for £35k?

ok so here's the rules you have £35k max for 1 car can be any age and any make model ect, you can't dip below £30k either. also the car you pic would be your only every day motor.

i thought bout this and found it hard to decide on 1 car but at the mo for that kinda cash i'd love a Roush Mustang :)

It would probably have to be a Noble M12 GTO-3R or an Audi RS6 Avant depending on how sensible I was feeling.

I'd haggle like hell to see if I could get £5k off a Maserati Quattroporte.

2001 DB7 V12 Vantage (and commute using the train, because that sucker is going to be in the garage every three days.) 2002 Porsche 911 Cabriolet.

2003 Audi RS6 Quattro

2005 Maserati 4.2 Cambiocorsa

2004 XKR

2005 Corvette C6

2005 XJR.

All right, it would be the last one (again).

Rag top 911's are spectacularly not as much fun as the Coupé.

My brother had an '85 or '86 911 Carrera cabriolet back when they were new and while it was immense fun, it just wasn't as much fun as a proper 911 coupe. Rattled a lot more and you could feel the shell flexing when it was being given some proper stick.

Besides, the 911 cab will always make me think "YUPPIEEEEEEE" whereas the Coupe makes me think "ooh, want one"

M5 with a sting

... rebadged as 520d , supersprint exhaust with one outlet in order to=20 stay "520d"-esk and specific M5-grilles deleted. If the 35kUPD had to be=20 spent in total, the rest would go in "adding lightness".

I would even think quite hard about a supercharged M5 E39 (640 Hp at the=20 wheels) instead of the new V10. I drove the standard M5 V8 and V10 in=20 Italy: the V10 was faster, the V8 felt faster and more nice to drive.

The new V10 has only 420 HP at the wheels, so a supercharged M5 V8 would=20 blow it away...

I start to dig for oil I guess?

Yea I've looked at the pictures now a bit more and I prefer the Coupe - it looks better :-) Also, I want a Rwd one not a 4wd one. And I'd rather it wasn't silver too, 911s are always silver.

They're well cool aren't they? It looks like it might want to just like, eat you or beat you up hehe :-)

Bloke at work has a black 911 Turbo S '02 plate, lucky bugger

Not sure about that. Black looks good on an old 911 Turbo. I also think they look good in a proper bright colour. Silver just makes them look a bit dull...

I think I like blue cars the most, so some form of blue would be nice. Or black.

Either an E55AMG or an M5. Probably the best single car ownership prospects in the world. Space comfort and pace in perfect harmony.

Though if I was fuelling it myself it'd have to be either an S320cdi or a

730d.
