Feurteventurer (Canary Island). The Mk1 has been locked away in the nice dry garage (i think that may take me above the 20kg luggage limit!)

Currently doing admin stuff as a temp at the moment until I work out what I'm going to do. I hope you manage to preserve your sanity ;). I think I'm going to go and get qualified in messing around in the woods.

messing around in the woods? anyway i love admin stuff! especially if it has

1) net access and 2) not much to do or work you can unload on someone else :)

Yeah. Ideal job would be something like working for the Forestry Commission.

I find having not much to do rather horrible. I'd rather be busy and not worrying about people noticing that I've nothing to do...

That would be ace. Fresh air, exercise. And most importantly, a landy to drive through mud :D

I used to have this problem as well, if i finished work, people gave me more, including things that required effort, the best amount of work was so i didn't have to put any real effort in, and i finished leaving about an hour before the end of the day, which i used for random tidying and pottering :)

hmmm true, i hated IT after a while as i sometimes had nothing to do for hours which made me fiddle and break something and end up leaving late :) my last job was good, admin work that was pretty straight forward with plenty to do which past the time quick. but left me the odd small gap of

5-10mins of nothing to do so i could squeeze a quick web browse in :)

Have you considered tree surgery? My mate does it (weekend work, cash in hand), and earns a fair wage and loves it. Might be worth phoning around a few local tree surgeons seeing if there's any work going. If you impress, one might even sponsor you through tree medical school.

That's what I like about my job. Ok, it means getting up early, but on average I get 2-4.5 hours' lunch break between deliveries and collections. Management know how little I've got and there is talk of me getting extra freight to take out, but seem happy that it's all done on time and at the moment I just enjoy it.

Yesterday was great - left home just before 4:30am, did all my deliveries and was back home at 9:40am. Didn't need to leave to do collections until

2:30, and got back at 5pm. Ok, so the hours aren't vastly different to office hours, but that does include an hour's travelling to work and back, and means that I've got some usable free time in the day to do things like piss about on usenet.
