05 Mustang GT mirror crash and burn

I've backed cars a million times into my garage but the new Mustang GT has been a challenge. I think it's wider than my '04. Anyhow, I check the mirrors on both sides to gauge placement, start backing in, then give it a bit too much gas. The passenger side mirror clips the edge of the garage and snaps off before I hit the brakes. Stupid.

Just paid for and ordered the part ($216) and the Ford body shop should get it on there tomorrow. Damndamndamndamndamn...

Did that to the Cobra the other day in the parking garage, damn. But luckily the Cobra mirrors fold, so it folded backwards with only a few minor scratches.

I did the same Damn thing back when I had my Little Bitty Condo. Got a big ol house now. Found one on E-Bay for $48.00 IIRC easy to replace too. Poopoo happens.

You had to bust her cherry sometime. Now there's no more worries, just enjoy the rides.

Thats the reason I put a 12 foot wide door on my garage when I built it.

And still some days I wonder how I missed the frame when backing in it.

A house on eBay for $48.00! What a bargin. ;-) I couldn't resist.

You would have thought the new Stang would have had folding side mirrors. Once I saw them on the Cobras, I thought that was going to be a permanent change.

I knew I was going to get that.

I saw a picture of an SN95 GT with 03 Cobra sides. Looked nice.

Of course, the mirror is on "national backorder" until the 25th, whatever that means.

Sorry to hear about that mirror, John. I'd be sick if something like that happened to mine. I guess the best thing is to put it in the garage and *leave* it there, huh? :-)

Wrong. Get me some black duct tape to hold the housing in place, manually adjust the mirror, then back on the road. No one will notice at speed...
