I reran them through PhotoShop and got more details out of them as well.

Enjoy!

It almost looks like they have kept the FOX underpinnings from the last model, and the one before that, and the one before.... What happened to the agressive looking car we saw a couple months back? The seats look identical to my 2001 but the car does not have the rakish exterior style I prefer. The headlights look like the eyes of a sad dog. IMO, compared to the last version we saw, this looks like Ford went on a MASSIVE cost cutting expedition.

I know that was a Firebird Trans Am styling cue from 70.5 on, but did Ford ever use that in the Mustang? I think Pontiac owns the trademark. (Actually, they lifted it from classics of the '30's, like the Dusenberg SJ.)

I look at this Stang interior and I see the twin cove dash pad from the '65 (without the little wings around the radio from the '66), the two big circle, two little circle gauge combo from the '67-'68, and the fake tuck and roll look of the seating surfaces are straight out of my kids' standard interior, white with black accents, '65 fb. (So is the body profile -- very much a copy of the '65-'66 fb.)

I like it alot.

Ford contacted the site owner and requested the removal of the pictures. Also, the individual who took those pictures lost his job as a result.

Yikes! Better look out, Paul. ;-)

That can only mean they're pretty damn close to what the real deal's gonna be.

I'm still mixed on the dash, though I like the exterior a little better, actually.

I agree with one of the posters... someone said something about the fact that it looks like another makeover of the Fox chassis. I hope, for Ford's sake as well as the sake of anyone who buys one of these, that they did more than re-skin the car again. The Fox chassis is showing its age badly...

*contemplates ordering an '04 Mystic Cobra or waiting for the '05's..*

I have a few months...

A side thought, I also agree with whoever posted that the seats were miserable.

I hope that isn't the performance model pony... :-/

Uhoh! Guess I can expect to be contacted by them shortly as well then. Which may not be that easy as my cable internet is flakey, it goes on and off. Techie guy is coming tomorrow to check...

Sorry to hear the photographer lost his job. I figured it was someone inside Ford to have access like that.

Nah, I'll trade removal for a 05 GT vert. :-) Honestly I dunno what Ford thinks. It's very easy to stick these images on a site in Eastern Europe with no way for them to get them off... I doubt they'll even bother. It's good PR for the 05 as far as I would think.

Rumor is the Cobra will be late '05 as an '06 model. I went ahead and got the '03 so if the '06 lives up to the hype I'll be right side up on my loan.....

He worked for one of the tech companies that has a Ford contract for engineering of some of the car. I don't know which company, however.

If that's really it, I'll take one now. If they went ahead with that brushed aluminum, or whatever it was, on the interior I would have waited. I hated that look. I like the rear and front ends.
