Hi everyone,
I've been working on my 67 coup. Just got brand new carpet, and was busy all day taking the seats out and getting ready to primer paint the floors.
After degreasing the metal I noticed that there was a signature under the front passenger seat.
it's faded, but as far as I can tell, the last name starts with a P, and ends with 'troy' with maybe 4 letters in between. First name is illegible.
It's signed in the original paint. I'm the 3rd owner, 1st owner died,
2nd owner has had the car since then (20 years) and the cars history is well documented, so it's likely this was done on the assembly line.
Car was built in San Jose.
I would think that a signature surving this long would be rare, since so many rustangs/mustangs lose their floor pans to rust. (this car is in unbeleivable condition).
Any info about this would be appreciated. I can take a digital photo and post somewhere.
Thanks.
Will
