2003 Cobra - Car and Driver review video

I just UL'ed the video of Car and Driver's review of the 2003 Cobra. You can find it in "alt.binaries.test".

I really like C&D's show on TNN. It's on every Saturday and Sunday, so be sure to watch it.

I also have a C&D review of the Mach 1, and a review from public television's "Motorweek" of the Roush 380R.

If anyone is interested in either one of these, let me know and I'll stick them up on alt.binaries.test.

Hey. Thanks for making this available.

I'm having problems playing the video, but the audio's okay.

When I downloaded it I got:

4 RAR files 1 PAR file 1 P01 file 1 P02 file

I used WINRAR to extract the RAR file (file 1), and it didn't complain, and it created an AVI file.

However, Windows Media said it couldn't download the codec, but it did play the audio. My DIVX player couldn't open the file, at all.

What am I doing wrong?

Never mind. I got it. Had to download the "XVID" codec.

THANKS!!!

Yes, I used XviD to encode since the quality is MUCH better than DivX. After I uploaded it, I realized that most people might not have the XviD codec. I should have changed the FourCC code to DivX before I posted it.

These videos are in MPEG4 format and were created using the XviD codec. You can play them back using DivX or XviD.

If anyone is having trouble playing back this video, you'll need one of two things:

  1. Get the XviD codec.

-or-

  1. If you want to use DivX for playback, get the DivX codec and use a FourCC changer to change the FourCC code to DIVX. You can get a FourCC changer here:

The FourCC changer is a handy utility to have if you play a lot of MPEG4 content, like DivX or XviD stuff.

Also note: You don't need to DL the PAR files if you can get all the RAR files. The PAR files are parity files which are only used if you are missing one of the other RAR files. A PAR utility can rebuild the archive using any PAR file. More info about PAR can be found here:
