2005 vert info? Configuration of top?

I was just looking at some pics of the 2005 hardtop, wondering how ford will treat the `05 vert. On the `04's, you have the front side glass (in the doors), and then the small rear side glass directly behind the front side glass (that operate). This set-up works great for both the hardtops and verts. However, the `05s have only side front glass in the doors, and then those small baby solid rear side windows that are several inches behind the front side windows. I guess the `05 vert is going to have a pretty big blind spot since I doubt Ford will add extra glass directly behind the front side windows for the verts. I am fearing that the `05 verts may not look that cool (with top up) and will have poor viewing in terms of blind spot, etc. You don't think it will have a mandatory "light-bar" type thing like the prototype? Does anyone have any info about the `05 vert configuration? I have not yet seen or heard any news or pics of the `05 vert. I'd appreciate any info... thanks.

I haven't seen the top for the S197 'vert yet so I'm not sure what the setup will look like. However, those small side glass panels on *my* 'vert do nothing to soften the blind spot on my car so I'd be happier if they eliminated that set of motors and glass and the maintenance. Those windows are a nuisance on my car. Also, if that *truly* concerns you then you might not be a 'Vert Person anyway and should probably consider alternatives :). 'Vert People don't worry about that stuff since the top is down anyway ;).

I think Ford knows this since they *rarely* publish pictures of 'verts with the top up since 'Vert People don't even bother to look at those pictures anyway :P.

Hmm. Again, the top is supposed to be down. Are you *sure* you are a 'Vert Person :)? However, like I said, I haven't seen the top up on the S197 Mustang. But then, I don't really care since the top won't be seen that much anyway and I'll bet it looks decent enough when raised. The Ford guys have always done a decent job of making the top look all right.

configuration?

I've read and spoken to a few people and the styling bar is serisouly being considered as a standard item; at least on the GT, if not the V6 trims. No one knows for sure it will be optional or standard. I'm still trying to find this out myself :).

Lats I heard, there was not going to be an 05 convertible. Ford intends to introduce that one for the 2006 model year.

Gives me an extra year to save up for one. :-)
