$260,000.00 Stang? Wow!

I'm sure I'm not the only one from this group that saw that on the Barrett-Jackson Auction show this evening.. Not even 100% original, although the motor it was re-stuffed with is an aluminum 427, but that number! Good Grief!

We walked the show from 8am until 3pmand didn't see everything! Did you see the two Ford Racing Team Mustangs? They went for (iirc) $27k and 40k. They were in rough shape. The one with the 460 was very poor.

Hey you! Watched it Friday and Saturday. I didn't see the one you wrote about, but did see others. The biggest thing they have been commenting on this year is how so many cars are going up with out a reserve! I love it.

The GT is back on the road, but have many things to get ready and done before the season starts. I still need to see how the motor is going to run at the track.

The bottom line is this: they are setting up the chumps again.

I think the commentators kinda had their heads up their butts. They'd go on to comment about how this vehicle wasnt' worth much, or that one didn't have a following, or what have you on almost every vehicle. Then when the car would go for 2 or 3 times what they thought it would, they'd backtrack with some other lameass comment.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the size of their credit limit. If I fell in love with a rusted out lime green Lada and was willing to bid against some other lime green Lada lover, then the two of us have created market demand and set the market price at that point in time.

People collect different things for different reasons. And it's the emotional ride of those present at the time that make the market.

(I'll get off my soapbox and go put a way my comics, baseball cards and beanie babies now :)

oh...."Speed" the racing channel and not the one for the chemically dependent....wait, thats a good idea. The new Speed channel (also for those with extreme ADS) all the clips and commentaries are in short easy to digest

4 second bursts....and the topic constantly changes at least 15 times a minute.

Wonder if it would sell?
