the 289 hi-po cam is obsolete, no reason to use one or similar today unless it's a restoration,etc. All the cam makers have new designs that will outperform the 60's stuff. You should call one and get a personal recommedation based on your car,weight,gears,trans,carb,driving style,etc. You may consider the retro roller cams also. check out the link below for 289 hi-po info.
