5.0 Ignition

Hi All

I am having a problem with my ignition on my 1990 Mustang GT. When I go to start it, I turn the key and the engine fully turns over and starts but then the car immediately dies. I keep trying and the same thing happens. I was finally able to get it to start by revving the engine as it turns over and it starts. I am thinking it is the ignition or the ignition switch but I am not very experienced with the ignition. If anyone knows what this might be, please let me know.

Thanks Guys

Sean

sounds like bad gas or not enough gas to me. (change fuel filter)

Also the (Air throttle bypass) or ( idle air bypass) idle air control could be gummed up and you can clean it with carb cleaner, need to take it off, happens a lot. It is on the throttle body front side. Two bolts, one connector, easy off and on, clean out inside really good. new is about 70 bucks.

If the engine turns over the ignition switch starter and starter solenoid are OK.
