A DOHC 4.6 plus two extra cylinders equals 351 cubes (It's not related to the current 6.8 liter V10). Slip it under the hood of a current Mustang and you have a new Boss 351. Except this time, 351 cubes make
430 horsepower and 405 foot pounds of torque _at the wheels_, even after exhaling through four mufflers. The motor is so brutal it has eaten up 3 T56 transmission, 5 clutches, 2 nine-inch rears, and three sets of rear tires. It smoked the P295/35ZR 18 inch tires all the way through 3rd gear and the car was still a bit sideways at 80 mph!! They were able to coax it to a 12.88 @ 114 mph. With slicks they predict sub 4 second 0-60 time and low 12's in the 1/4.Unfortunately, it's only an experimental. But who knows about in the future...
Check it out in the latest issue of Motor Trend. This Boss 351 looks BAD!!!
