I finally plunked down a 20 spot and bought the kit. I have to say the the stuff works pretty good. My top (black) was looking dirty and gray, so it needed some help. I was impressed with both products.
I cannot vouch for for its ability to get a white or tan top clean, but for me it made a world of difference.

I used Simple Green on my grungy white top and it came out looking GREAT !!
yeah...i'ved used SG too with good results. But, the protectant is made for our tops without the silicon and other stuff that is not supposed to be on there.
