Help needed on J-hook for 92 vert

Aug 13, 2004 3 Replies

I have a 92 GT convertible and I would like to screw down further the two J-hooks that hold the convertible top in the front. There seems to be a set screw of some kind that needs to be loosened in order to screw in the J-hook. What tool do I use to loosen this set screw?

Any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try an allen wrench. That's what it took on my 86 Vert.

I just used a vise grip on the J hook to screw it down.

This gives me a brain ache..............
